Oct 28:Depart from New York JFK airport to Cairo on Egypt Air

Oct 29:Arrive in Cairo. Meet and greet at airport. Assistance with entry visa, passport control, immigration, luggage claim, and customs. Transfer to the Mena House hotel and enjoy dinner.

Oct 30:Visit the Pyramids of Giza, Giza Plateau, tombs of Ido & Kar and the Solar boat. Enjoy a Panoramic view of the Giza Plateau, visit the Sphinx, and Valley temple. Perfume factory.

Oct 31: Visit Saqqara (including Serapeum) and Dahsure. Carpet factory. Enjoy a home-hosted Egyptian dinner at the Fayed home. Halloween costumes encouraged.

Nov 1:Visit the Egyptian Museums and Old Cairo (Hanging Church, Abu Serga Chuch, Ben Azra Synagogue and Amr Ibn el Aas Mosque. Fly to Luxor and overnight in Luxor hotel.

Nov 2:Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple, Valley of Queens, including Nefertari’s Tomb.

Nov 3:Visit the temples of Abydos and Dendara.

Nov 4:Check out of hotel and visit Karnack temples. Check in Nile Cruise and enjoy lunch. In the evening visit Luxor temple. Papyrus and jewelry shops.

Nov 5:Free day on board ship as we sail to Edfu at noon. OptionalEgyptian discussion circle with Julie

Nov 6: Visit Edfu temple and sail to Kom Ombo. Visit Kom Ombo temple and sail to Aswan.

Nov 7:Fly to Abu Simbel; visit temples and fly back to Aswan. Enjoy a long afternoon felluca sail.

Nov 8:Checkout of Nile Cruise and Visit Philae Isis temple and unfinished Obelisk. Enjoy a long Felucca (sail boat) ride on the Nile.

Nov 9:Morning free at Mena House. Lunch at a local restaurant. Evening private visit to the Great Pyramid. 

Nov 10:Fly back to New York, or enjoy an optional trip to Alexandria to see catacombs, new library, and site of Pharos light house. 

COSTS: 

Regular tour — $5,600 all inclusive, including airfare from New York and flights within Egypt. Transportation, lodging, Luxury Nile cruise, admissions, transfers, and one of Egypt’s top guides are included.  ($160 discount if paying by check).

Nov 10: Drive from Cairo to Alexandria and visit the Catacombs, Pompay’s Pillar and the Alexandria national Museum.   Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner     Alexandria hotel: Sheraton Alexandria Montaza Hotel.

Nov 11:Visit the Roman Amphitheater and the library of Alexandria. Relax by the Mediterranean Sea and Qait Bay’s Citadel before heading back to Cairo.  Check in a hotel near the airport.           Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Nov 12: Transfer to Cairo international airport for final departure.     Breakfast
